Where are they made? 

• Our solid wood tabletops and our laminate tabletops are sourced and made locally in Quebec;

The installation is fairly simple and takes on average 45 minutes for someone with no experience installing sit/stand desks.

However, we do suggest being two during the installation as the frame and the worksurface are heavy. Each desk comes with an installation guide.

To be completely transparent with you, there’s always a little wobble when using sit-stand desks at their standing heights (the higher a structure is on the same frame, the more it will be susceptible to wobble).

 Even though there’s no escaping a little wobbliness, we invest heavily in the quality of our products and our desks are within the most stable on the market. That being said, there are certainly a few things that may impact (and could potentially help you) the stability of your desk:

1. The foot screws (the ones attaching each foot to the lifting columns) need to be tightened all the way in.
2. The wood screws also need to be tightened all the way in (the ones that secure the frame to the top).
3. Some monitor screens wobble more than others (the structure of their feet may be more susceptible to wobbliness).

Although a bit of wobbliness can be expected at the standing height, the desks mostly wobble when users test the stability (pushing the desk back-and-forth).

Custom desks are offered only for our Sway and Alive (hardwood) surfaces.

The best way to clean your adjustable sit/stand desk is to gently rub it with a damp piece of cloth or towel (not soaked). Don’t use any cleaning products to keep the finish of the wood intact.

All our sit-stand desks can easily support up to 300 pounds (including the tabletop's weight). Our tabletops weigh on average 40-75 pounds.

To avoid curvature of the table tops, it is recommended to distribute the weight on the surface. Any weight of more than 40 lbs undistributed could cause surface curvature, and this bend is not covered by the Ergonofis warranty.

Ideally, we suggest leaving the desk assembled. The risk of doing so is to damage the columns if they are knocked over.

If you can move the desk assembled safely, simply lower it to the lowest setting and move it that way.

Otherwise, there's no need to dismantle the whole desk, just remove the legs and columns.

For the Shift, remove the legs and fold the columns onto the center rail. Make sure you fix everything securely, and don't lose the feet and screws.

For the Sway or Alive, remove the legs and columns, as shown in the following video. Make sure you don't lose any screws or parts.

Even though their frames are similar, here are some important differences:

• The Shift desk's frame comes with a handset that’s attached under the work surface instead of being integrated into it;
• The work surface of the Shift desk is built with a high-end soft-touch laminate that is ultra-matte and resists fingerprints, while the Sway surfaces are made of solid wood;
• There is a slight difference in starting and ending heights. The Shift’s frame starts at 24.5" and goes up to 49" versus the Sway/Alive’s frame that goes from 22" to 48,3".

Your Ergo frame is adaptable; you can install many types of surfaces on it.

• Solid wood;
• Medium-density fiberboard (MDF);
• High-density fiberboard (HDF);
• Marine-grade Baltic birch plywood;
• Particle board;
• Any solid and durable surface that can be safely pre-drilled and screwed into.

The grommets allow you to neatly slide the wires from your computer and other electronic accessories through the desk. 

If you purchase a Sway desk, we will match the grommets to your wood surface (maple, cherrywood, white oak or walnut). If you purchase a Shift desk, we will match the grommets to the colour of your frame (black or white). 

Solid wood has imperfections and irregularities that will vary from one slab to another, such as knots. This trait is one of the many traits that give solid wood its character and uniqueness. We fill the holes on top of the stand with epoxy to make sure that your stand is even. 

We fill in the holes and cracks that could have an impact on the durability of your work surface to ensure it stays flat and stable over time.

Make sure to keep a constant temperature and humidity level, ideally between 18 and 21° C and between 45% and 55% for the humidity level. Variations may put your wood top under stress, which may result in cracks and curves.

Some protective pads made of synthetic rubbers can react with wood lacquer and create surface discoloration. Always test for chemical reaction on a discreet section of your desk.

The Shift and Sway Desk surfaces arrive pre-drilled for:

• The sit stand frame
• The Cable Net
• The 42" Cable Management Solution on the 24x48 models
• The 58" Cable Management Solution on the 30x60 and 30x72 models
• The Desk Drawer on the 30x60 and 30x72 models 

The Alive Desk surface arrives pre-drilled for:

 To allow flexibility for installation, we will pre drill for the installation of the Desk Drawer and Cable Management Solution where we think it fits best, if all items are ordered at once.

As each live edge is unique, you may have to add holes to edit the placement of the accessory to your personal preference.

We don't pre drill for the Under Desk Power Bar, Cable Spine and other accessories with subjective positioning options.

All desks of the Almost Perfect selection have a new height adjustable frame.

The Tilt ergonomic stool is very easy to assemble. The assembly takes seconds and requires no tools.

The Tilt's seat can be adjusted from 23" to 33" high. The 10" height adjustment accommodates people of all sizes and is suitable for work on height adjustable desks.

The stool's height is not recommended for fixed desk 30" and lower.

The base of the Tilt ergonomic stool has a rubber dome with grooves for better grip on the ground, while reducing the chances of catching hard debris that could damage the floor. 

However, it is recommended to be careful and clean the floor under the stool periodically.

The arms of the YouToo chair are only adjustable in height.

Some people have longer legs, some people have longer torsos, everyone’s body is differently proportioned, which is why we do not have a minimum or maximum user height listed. The YouToo chair is customizable, which helps it in being suitable for a whole range of heights and body types.

Our two additional ergonomic options, the back height adjustment and the seat slider, can be very useful for people that are both taller or shorter than average. 

Back height adjustment
The back height adjustment gives the option to move the seat up or down to adjust lumbar support based on the user’s natural spine curvature. 

Seat slider
The seat slider option allows to position the seat forward or backward, as needed, to sit comfortably with back to the seat and knees at a 90-degree angle.  

For people under 5'4"
With all the same features as our regular YouToo chair—like customizable colours and adjustable seat sliders—the Small YouToo is specially designed for users 5'4" and under.

It’s very easy and simple to install. Each chair comes with an installation guide and it should take you less than 10 minutes to assemble. The chair arrives in 4 pieces; the base, the gas cylinder, the seat, and the back support. The assembly is simply to slide the gas cylinder in the base, then to attach the back to the seat by using 3 screws.

When purchasing your YouToo chair, you have the choice between a seat made of real leather or a seat made of fabric.

The leather seat is made with a soft leather type called “Madras”. This genuine leather is a top-grain, embossed leather of very high quality. 

Absolutely not - the YouToo chair is offered with dual surface casters that are equiped to safely and smoothly roll on carpet or hardwood floors.

We specifically recommend getting the seat slider for anyone over 5'8, the ideal situation is that you will have at least a fist sized amount of room between your leg and the seat cushion. 

The back height adjustment is useful to align your spine for ultimate comfort for long periods of sitting, and is highly recommended for everyone.

• For surfaces that are 24" x 48", choose size 42"
• For surfaces that are 30" x 60" or 30" x 72", choose size 58"

You can fix the perforated metal grid to the surface using the 9 screws included with the accessory. Then, you can affix the power bar to the metal grid using the nuts and bolts. Additional wires can be secured to the grid using the velcros provided with the Cable Management Solution.

Yes, as long as the surface is made of a solid material onto which it is possible to screw.

This product, however, can not be installed on tabletops filled with "honeycomb structure paper filing" (e.g IKEA LINNMON, LAGKAPTEN etc.)

It can manage about ten cables, depending on their size.

It is installed under the surface using 2 screws.

The cable cover net can be installed under all types of desks, so long as it has a surface you can screw in.

Not at all! Simply unscrew the foot levelers that already come attached to the desk’s feet and screw in the casters in their place. Easy peasy!

Simply press down on a small lever to lock each caster. Reverse the process to unlock them.

Absolutely, the casters are safe to use on both wood and carpeted surfaces.

Our desk drawer is compatible with all of our 30” x 60” or 30” x 72” sized surfaces. It is not compatible with our 24” x 48” surfaces because the depth is not large enough to accommodate the drawer as the frame of the desk would prevent a proper installation. Please note that the drawer is incompatible with desks purchased in or prior to 2017, and that we are not responsible if the drawer does not fit under a desk not made by Ergonofis.

While you can certainly install a drawer on an Alive desk, it may not be entirely flush with the edge of the desk. The reason for this is that the live edge retains the natural curvature of the wood as opposed to being a straight cut.

Not at all! You simply need to screw in the front panel to the metal frame and then screw the drawer into the pre-drilled holes underneath your surface.

We pre drill for installation of the Desk Drawer on left side of your desk. If installed on the right side, it may interfere with the inlay handset on the Sway and Alive desks.

This is not recommended as installing a drawer on the right side will interfere with the positioning of the inlay handset on the Sway and Alive desk models. Additionally, it limits the space you have under the desk for a chair.

Yes, your surface will arrive pre-drilled with holes to accommodate the desk drawer.

It absolutely does, both aesthetically and physically. The desk shelf was designed to fit on all of our surface sizes while still allowing ample room for you to work with, and is available in all of the same laminate and hardwood finishes as our desk surfaces.

This depends highly on the size of the screens, however, it will comfortably support two monitors for the average user.

The desk shelf can support up to 120 pounds.

The Desk Shelf is not attached to the surface, therefore you are able to move it around the desk freely. 

There are soft pads underneath the feet to allow you to move it around your surface without damaging it.

Yes, the surface of the Desk Shelf is 42" long, leaving you with room on both sides.

The Fold laptop stand can support a maximum weight of 5.5 lbs and is ideal for most laptops that have a screen size smaller than 17.5".

The Fold laptop stand allows you to elevate your laptop screen up to 9" in height. Since it is adjustable, it is possible to adjust it to different heights, from 0" to 9".

The Fold laptop stand is perfectly compatible with the desk shelf, meaning you can place the Fold laptop stand on the desk shelf.

If you want to use the desk shelf and the Fold laptop stand next to each other, make sure you have a desk that is 30" x 60" or larger.

This product uses authentic full-grain leather, which has beautiful, natural imperfections and marks such as scars, bug bites and stretch marks acquired throughout the animal’s life. Such markings are not in fact flaws but rather contribute to the unique aesthetic of the hide and make it such that each individual product has its own story to tell. The absence of such marks often signifies that the leather is of lesser quality.

The desk pad is made out of natural leather, which darkens and develops its patina over time. These characteristics usually are what people who appreciate full grain leather look for as eventually, the product truly, uniquely becomes your own based on its usage and environment, from the oils on your hands to exposure to light. Like our own skin, it will take on characteristics based on its surroundings.
